Tiso-Nail merger referred to Tribunal
The Competition Commission has referred the merger between the Tiso consortium and New Africa Investments Ltd (Nail) to the Competition Tribunal for adjudication. The Tiso consortium, comprising Multidirect Investments 180, Capricorn Capital Partners Holding Company, Investec Bank Ltd, Safika Holdings and Mineworkers Investment Co, is seeking to acquire the issued share capital held by minority shareholders in Nail, an investment holding company with interests in printing, publishing, radio broadcasting and TV production.
