ARB marks first birthday
The Advertising Regulatory Board (ARB) has marked one year since it opened. The board was started by the industry to administer the Code of Advertising Practice and adjudicate on complaints lodged in terms of that code.
After the Advertising Standards Authority was placed in liquidation, the Marketing Association of South Africa (Masa), the Association for Advertising and Communication (ACA) and the IAB formed the ARB. Subsequent to the founding of the ARB, two further members - the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Pet Food Industry of South Africa (PFISA) have committed their support to the ARB.
