The doll draws inspiration from Dion’s 1998 awards-show outfit, worn during a performance of My Heart Will Go On, the theme song from the film Titanic.
Its accessories include a necklace inspired by the film’s fictional Heart of the Ocean blue diamond.
The release connects the Barbie brand with a defining moment in music and film history, bringing together celebrity, fashion and nostalgia in a collectable aimed at fans of both Dion and the iconic doll.
“It is a true honour to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career,” says Dion. “I hope this doll inspires everyone to express themselves with confidence, follow their dreams and believe in the power of their own voice.”
The Celine Dion doll forms part of the Barbie Signature series, which celebrates notable figures across music, fashion, design and popular culture.

Dion joins a roster of musical artists previously honoured by the series, including Whitney Houston, Miley Cyrus, Kylie Minogue, Aaliyah, Stevie Nicks, Gloria Estefan, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Diana Ross and Elton John.
The latest release reflects how established entertainment properties can extend their reach through licensed merchandise, allowing fans to engage with artists and cultural moments beyond music, film and live performances.
Dion has sold more than 250 million albums worldwide and received more than 75 international awards, according to the release. Her performance of Hymne à L’Amour from the Eiffel Tower during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony also brought her back into the global spotlight.
The doll’s design references Dion’s 1998 look, while the Heart of the Ocean-inspired necklace links the release to Titanic, one of the most recognisable films associated with her music.

By drawing on an established visual reference rather than a generic likeness, the product connects the doll to a specific moment in popular culture. This approach also gives collectors a recognisable point of reference beyond the celebrity’s name.
The Barbie Signature Celine Dion doll is available exclusively through Mattel Creations.
The release illustrates how brands with established intellectual property can use celebrity partnerships and cultural references to develop products that appeal to collectors, music fans and consumers drawn to fashion and entertainment memorabilia.
