China bans video game streaming platform Twitch

Abacus reports that China has prohibited video game streaming platform Twitch after the country experienced an increase in the service's popularity.

The Twitch app also disappeared from the Apple App Store for Chinese users, suggesting a deliberate move to ban the service.
