Appeal date for stadium name

The Supreme Court of Appeal has set down the naming rights matter between Stadium Management SA and others versus First Rand Bank, for 23 November 2010 in Bloemfontein, relating to the naming of the stadium as "Soccer City". This follows the South Gauteng Court's decision on 11 August 2010 that ordered that until 14 July 2010, or 14 July 2016, or any extension thereof, Stadium Management SA and the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality are interdicted, restraint and prohibited from referring to the stadium by any other name than FNB Stadium.
