Danino host a dazzling dinosaur party for children with cancer at the Danone Clover CHOC house in Cape Town
As part of the Danone Clover ‘Caring for Our Children' campaign, Danino hosted a dazzling dinosaur party for children with cancer and their parents at the Danone Clover CHOC House in Cape Town on the 26th July 2007.
Why a Danino Dinosaur Party for children with cancer? The heartbreaking truth is, that nobody knows which of the children will ever be able to enjoy a party again. Cancer respects no-one, not even innocent little children.
Danino entertained the children with fun activities and games, as well as delicious eats and drinks. The children also had their photos taken with Danino the Dinosaur and the photographs were printed and framed there and then, and handed to the children as souvenirs of a fabulous day.
The children, who numbered about 15, are accommodated at the Danone Clover CHOC house in Cape Town. The haven provides board and lodging for children who would otherwise have to travel great distances to and from the Paediatric Oncology Units in Cape Town
"Representatives of all the best publications and electronic media attended the event," says Michelle Henri, brand manager for the Danone Clover ‘Caring for our Children' campaign. Voice of the Cape, a community radio station based in Cape Town broadcast live from the event and interviews were conducted with the various children celebrities, Danone Clover and CHOC representatives.
"We were also very lucky to have well-known singer André Christi from ‘Sing for Africa' as well as Miss Prestige College join us for the fun," says Michelle Henri.
Danone Clover's ‘Caring for Our Children' campaign runs throughout June and July this year. Six cents for every Danone Clover yoghurt, drinking yoghurt, juice yoghurt blend and maas product sold will be donated to the campaign. Through your support, you will help Danone Clover give the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation a fourth Danone Clover CHOC House which will be in Pretoria. The house is a place for kids and their parents to stay during treatment. Look out for Danone Clover's ‘Caring for Our Children' campaign.
