It's all in the cards
A promising conversation with another networker at a recent function resulted in the exchange of business cards. But after one glance at his card, the perfect picture came crashing down.
Suddenly I had some serious doubts about this guy's ability. Unfair? Maybe. But the weak design and home-printed card - which should be his first-base and most vital marketing tool - left me cold and unimpressed. The same goes for letterheads and other stationary.
Are we paying enough attention to this, or am I too sensitive? Question is - should we judge a book by its cover?
