Caveman Café offers an all-new fuel stop for cyclists
Conrad Stoltz the professional athlete (XTERRA, Triathlon, MTB & TT) – aka Caveman – launches his exciting new brand in partnership with Specialized Stellenbosch: introducing The Caveman Café. The corporate identity, restaurant signage and merchandising of the café were developed by the Just Design team and offer a niche refreshment experience for cyclists.
Just Design are experts in helping brands on their journey in naming, logo development, CI, packaging, design and print. The team was involved in Caveman from inception and with their experience at brand-building, Caveman Café is sleek and powerful, sitting comfortably alongside Specialized as a brand in its own right. The minimalist appearance is in keeping with Stoltz’s own ideology. The signage portrays the name “Caveman” in die-cut, smooth letters offset against a rougher, more textured background. All secondary collateral like business and loyalty cards and take-away coffee cups are printed on natural craft paper with bold branding. The caveman look and feel goes back to basics and offers an uncomplicated and satisfactory spot to meet friends and fellow cyclists.
Caveman Café appeals to its active audience through a fresh, healthy, accessible identity and well-honed menu. The man behind the name, Conrad Stoltz, brings the credibility with his vitality and world-class pro-athlete track record. Who better to develop snacks and drinks to keep riders at peak performance? The café sells a selection of premium coffee, health smoothies and boosting snacks. Clientele often find Stoltz himself dishing out tips and anecdotes as well as the great fare. With a man of such accolade behind the café, it draws cyclists of all levels plus anyone and everyone in need of a stopover snack to boost performance and spirits. The overarching idea was to create a brand identity that signifies active wholesomeness. Exciting and eye-catching, Caveman Café is already proving a popular social hub on the local cycle circuit.
About the brand:
A coffee shop concept founded on cycling – a refreshment station for all cyclists. A meeting point, starting point, ending point to cycling excursions. A relevant shop and stop point for all Specialized customers. A coffee shop with a well-known triathlete’s endorsement and often his company too. Family friendly, the kids cycling track and sandpit is a great draw-card for a laid back Sunday morning. Serving a wholesome menu that satisfies all visitors who share the desire for healthy replenishment and a positive attitude to life.
