6 SA travel agents selected for Contiki's Rock Around the World
Contiki's Rock Around the World has selected six South African travel agents to attend the global educational experience that will see them visit Munich, the Austrian Tyrol and the Rhine Valley bound for Brussels to experience the Tomorrowland Festival.

Under the theme of The Story of Planaxis, the travel agents will be treated to an Atlantis-style underwater wonderland, with over 15 stages across two weekends in July.
"This is a huge bucket-list experience which allows all sorts of different people to be a part of something bigger than themselves," says David Robinson, Contiki area sales manager, who will accompany the trip, departing 21 July 2018.
"Joining Rock Around the World is a massive privilege, especially with the 20th-anniversary milestone. The group gets VIP Comfort passes that not only provides access to Tomorrowland but they also have the opportunity to get away from the excitement for a breather or two in their own VIP area.
"The real significance for most is to put South Africa on the map. Thousands of people come to Tomorrowland and represent their country with flags. There are maybe one or two South African flags. This achievement shows the world that South Africa is getting somewhere in the world, and can be a part of such a phenomenon," says Robinson.
Contiki marketing manager, Kele Scheppers adds: "We started with quite a lot of entries, however many competitors failed to complete the e-learning part of the competition, which whittled down the numbers significantly. Joining Rock Around the World gives these consultants an opportunity to learn first-hand about Contiki product and meet like-minded consultants to learn from."
"To really sell a product, you need to experience it. The best of the best got to experience the best of Contiki," says Scheppers.
South Africa will be represented at Rock Around the World by:
• Ariel Mwamba, STA Rosebank
• Corbin Parker, STA Rosebank
• Koketso Floyd Khangari, Flight Centre Menlyn
• Letitia Fourie, Pentravel Cresta
• Lori Bernstein, Flight Centre Nicolway
• Simone Conradie, Pentravel The Glen
Pentravel’s travel expert, Letitia Fourie comments: "To be one of the six was a hard task as we don’t specialise in youth travel. I went to the Rock last year and absolutely loved it. Because of that, I wanted to push to be one of the top sellers this year as well.
"I honestly think what helps me most is the fact that I have experienced this amazing product and truly believe in it, which allows me to sell Contiki with confidence."
