Sparkling offering from JC Le Roux, cellar closes for revamp
The flagship of the House of JC Le Roux, Scintilla 2003 is a classic blend of Chardonnay (75%) and Pinot noir (25%), spending seven years on the lees, resulting in rich layers of complexity and flavours with a superior, smooth character.
Ideal with braised Karoo lamb shank or tantalising salmon bruschetta, it retails for R150 at the cellar door.
Buyers wishing to pick up this and other sparkling offerings from the cellar should do so before the end of July 2012, as the cellar will be closing for four months for a revamp. New additions will include an al fresco deck where one can relax and sip superb bubbly. The restaurant will also reveal a glamorous new appearance in December.
