New ad medium for airport displays

Travellers through Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport, as well as Cape Town International Airport, will pilot an new advertising medium, Litefast Magic, that will be seen at all ACSA airports: a see-through 360º video display, Primedia Outdoor subsidiary Indiza Media announced yesterday, 29 April 2009.
New ad medium for airport displays

Indiza Media has been granted sole rights to erect its new media platform at key strategic points in all ACSA airports. Litefast Magic is supposedly the only see-through, 360º video display in the world.

Visa has already contracted five Litefast Magic units at OR Tambo International Airport and five at Cape Town International Airport until December 2010, to take advantage of the medium's unique selling point - the infusing of up-to-date flight schedules with its advertising on the LED display, which should ensure that passengers notice the brand.

Hover in the air

Completely transparent, each Litefast Magic LED cylindrical unit stands 2 170mm high and is 750mm in diameter. Three high-resolution curved screens display brilliant self-illuminated images, which seem to hover in the air, adding visual effects to videos, commercials and presentations.

"The three screens cover all angles making the content clearly visible to all approaches and thus to three times as many travellers as conventional flat screens," explained Indiza Media's MD, Mzi Deliwe.

“Litefast Magic gives advertisers a competitive advantage with many benefits and features,” continued Deliwe, "Designed for 24/7 operation, Litefast Magic innovative technology enables screens to rotate 360º and present the creative in fascinating ways."

“Added branding”

"The area beneath the screens gives added branding space to support the on-screen promotions, and, adding further to Litefast Magic versatility, each free-standing unit can be positioned anywhere and can operate as a standalone display or coupled to a network, as determined by airport traffic."

"Our clients, in close liaison with Indiza and ACSA, can select key positions in high traffic and major dwell time areas within top South African airports. What's more, the client possesses the entire unit and display, ensuring they own the space, " he concluded.
