More entertainment from MultiChoice
Three new channels will be launched by MultiChoice on Monday, 12 July 2010, aimed at its various DStv bouquets. They are KidsCo, AfroMusic and Mzansi Magic.

Paddington Bear part of pre-school zone
KidsCo is a new international television channel for children and the whole family that can be viewed by the DSTV Lite, Select 1, Select 2, Compact and Premium subscribers on channel 308. The signature shows include favourites such as The Wiggles, Dennis the Menace and Paddington Bear. It offers three zones - Pre-School for kids younger than 6, Kids Zone for children 6 and older and Family Zone for everyone.
African music rocks
AfroMusic, a 24/7 cable TV channel that broadcasts African music, documentaries, concerts and other music-related content with an African flavour, can be viewed on channel 326. It is available to DSTV Compact and Premium subscribers and features content related to African culture from across the continent, including South Africa.
It's a kind of magic
Mzansi Magic, a local initiative by MNet, will be aired on channel 107 for DStv Select 1, Compact and Premium subscribers who will be able to view a diverse content mix, including local and international feature films, music specials, documentaries and soapies. These include interactive talk shows hosted by new and established television and radio personalities.
The channel will also introduce to television the uniquely South African low budget film genre nicknamed "bubblegum cinema." It will broadcast comedy hits such as Moruti wa tsotsi and Madhluphuthu, which have only been available on DVD to limited audiences. "The channel will support the local film industry by procuring and commissioning locally made productions that are tailored to the South African audience," says Alberts.
