Showing youth how to make moves

The new youth talk show Making Moves, scheduled for broadcast on SABC1 Mondays at 6.30pm from 2 July 2007, will celebrate and profile successful entrepreneurs.

During the 26 episodes, Making Moves will share information available to assist young South Africans with the operation and establishment of their own businesses.

“Each week we focus on an entrepreneur, we unpack their initial and current motivations, their challenges and obstacles, and finally their victories. We share benefits from the lessons learnt with audiences,” says Futhi Ngubane, commissioning editor at SABC Education.

Presenter Lindani Telela, born in Soweto in 1980, speaks Siswati, isiZulu, isiXhosa and Sesotho. Telela has worked behind the scenes in television production for four years: as a make-up artist, production assistant, floor manager, set dresser and designer, and as a stylist. This is Telela's first go at presenting.

“Making Moves will encourage dialogue between entrepreneurs, companies and Government hopefully to assist the growth of entrepreneurship in the country. Questions will be asked and answered, business challenges, successes and barriers will be explored and shared,” says Telela.
