Fontera Reaches for Infinity
The Infinity group, a subsidiary of Viacom in the USA, has contracted SA owned radio and bulk SMS company, Fontera, to supply their Radio Txt backend to five radio stations in the USA.
The licensing agreement was recently signed with US based subsidiary Spark Network Services, the largest provider of radio voice personals in North America.
The deal sees Fontera making good on its strategy of expanding US operations to complement their already highly successful European and South African offices.
Fontera MD Simon Leps comments: "Infinity is part of the second largest radio group in the USA, and therefore it is very important for us to have gotten our foot in the door. We are also very pleased to see our deal with Spark delivering so soon on its potential."
The first station, Wild 107 Fm, goes live with the system at the end of this week.
