Thursday evenings for the month of September on Kaya FM have been dubbed Soultember by the station as they feature unplugged performances with some of South Africa's finest artists, RJ Benjamin, Wanda Baloyi, Asanda Bam and the last Thursday of September, but certainly not the least, Afrotraction.

Kaya FM celebrates Heritage Month by hosting Live Thursdays with Nonn Botha

Soultember is one of Kaya FM's biggest musical features, running for the full month of September. Every September, we take time to reflect on the journey of Soul, its evolution and how it has shaped itself in today's world, especially in the South African context. We weave through the music of the greatest Soul legends and showcase their influence. Soul music will never achieve a conclusive definition; it is a feeling that allows deeper expressions of moments in time.

This September, we showcase our own South African expressions of Afro-Soul by featuring four profound singers and composers:

5 September: RJ Benjamin

12 September: Wanda Baloyi

19 September: Asanda Bam

26 September: Afrotraction
