Protect children working in aquaculture - FAO, ILO

The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) have implored governments to protect children from harmful work environments in small-scale fisheries and aquaculture.

Published by both UN agencies, most countries are signatories to a guidance document which outlines international conventions to protect children. Many, however, have not implemented these agreements into national legislation.
