The platform offers a lucrative revenue opportunity by allowing private owners to list their luxury cars for rental. Stirling offers comprehensive vehicle insurance, liability cover and 24 hour roadside assistance, and all parties are security vetted for safety.

The company says it has the aim of "delivering the ultimate vehicle experience, whether you are renting a Maserati or a Jeep Wrangler".

"There is also an existing fleet of luxury vehicles with a guaranteed income programme for owners who do not want to manage the rental process, but still want to share the revenue," it said in the release.

How it works

Visit the company website for more details and to submit your luxury vehicle model. You will then receive confirmation whether or not the vehicle qualifies for the platform, as well as your daily rental rate. Those without a luxury vehicle interested in purchasing into the "guaranteed income programme" are encouraged to register too.
