#Mandela100: Mercedes-Benz reminisces over its walk with Madiba

The relationship goes as far back as the day he was released from prison on 11 February 1990 when the team gave him a car specifically built for him.

According to the company, the Mercedes-Benz team pulled together to make it happen: they worked one hour overtime every day - free of charge - and actually made more than a car for Madiba – it made a symbol of pride and togetherness.
