The event will take place at The Inanda Polo Club in Sandton from 11am to 4pm.

The event – sponsored by Sanlam Private Wealth – will feature some of South Africa’s finest Méthode Cap Classiques, a selection of France’s best champagne houses and well-known Italian prosecco brands.

Organiser Darielle Robertson said, “We are so excited to be back in Gauteng with what has proved to be an enormously popular festival. This year we have bubbly from the likes of L’Ormarins, Siwela Wines, Bon Courage, La Bri and Graham Beck as well as champagnes from Taittinger, Bollinger and Nicolas Feuillatte, with more to be announced soon.”

Robertson added, “The festival will have an elegant, chic garden party feel with a blue and white dress theme and a fabulous prize of an Okapi handbag awarded each day to the best dressed.”

Food from a variety of stalls and stations will satisfy festival-goers' hunger pangs and live music courtesy of Veronique Lalouette will add to the ambience at the Cap Classique and Champagne Festival.

Carl Roothman, CEO of Sanlam Private Wealth, said, “We’re very excited to once again partner this luxury lifestyle event - it provides us with an ideal platform to collaborate with fellow masters of their craft and create an exclusive experience for guests.”

“Over the two days, the same characteristics that inspire and drive us to grow and preserve wealth – such as practice, patience, meticulous attention to detail and even the need to take calculated risks – will also be evident in the delightful bubbly, fabulous food and live music that will be available at the festival,” Roothman continued.

An early-bird special is on offer at R350 if tickets are booked before midnight on 15 March. Thereafter tickets will cost R395. The price includes a souvenir bubbly glass and 10 tasting coupons.

It must be noted that all guests must be vaccinated to attend the Cap Classique and Champagne Festival.
