New CEO for Proudly South Africa sought
The Proudly South African campaign's board has appointed a selection panel including the chairman of the campaign, Tim Modise; Dr Alistair Ruiters, Director-General of the Department of Trade and Industry; Phillip Dexter, former Executive Director of Nedlac; Ebrahim Patel, General-Secretary of the Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers' Union; Michael McDonald, from the Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of SA; and Sizwe Shezi, Nedlac.
The position of CEO, as well as Chief Operating Officer, will be advertised shortly.
According to a PSA statement, the campaign's management team has accomplished the key objectives set for the first three years, including establishing the Proudly South African brand, achieving a high level of consumer awareness and building a solid membership base.
The board emphasises its commitment to the campaign's stakeholders, including members, sponsors and media partners.
The campaign will continue to actively promote its members products and services to consumers and decision-makers through extensive communication campaigns, promotions and strategic partnerships with the business, government, labour and community sectors.
In the interests of continuity, Feinstein, along with executive director Phillip Dexter, will continue to assist with the management of the campaign until the new CEO is appointed.
