Woolworths puts Taste on the shelves

The book is divided into three easy-on-the-eye sections with recipes that are healthy and easy to prepare. The recipes have been selected by the magazine's three food editors - Phillippa Cheifitz, Abigail Donnelly and Maranda Engelbrecht.
No-nonsense approach
Author of numerous books and winner of a slew of local and international awards, Phillippa Cheifitz is known for her no-nonsense approach to food appreciation, and that approach is evident in her Everyday Easy recipe section. Abigail Donnelly's Smart and Sassy food gives commonly used ingredients a modern twist for meals with a distinctive stylish edge, and Maranda Engelbrecht's Gourmet Glamour section features a selection of dishes to excite even the most sophisticated of palates.
Useful icons
An additional Shared Tables section is filled with menu suggestions providing a spread of dishes for all - and they can all be prepared in the home. In addition, with the increase of a healthy approach to food and cooking, readers will find the icons that appear alongside each recipe and in the detailed index useful. The icons note everything from “carb conscious” to gluten- and wheat-free recipes.
“It's the ultimate South African foodie guide with recipes and ideas to inspire you for both everyday and extra-special meals", says Taste editor Sumien Brink who was recently named Editor of the Year, at the AdVantage ADmag Awards. “The cookbook is unique in that it caters for a broad spectrum of readers from young, single women who like to share a bowl of pasta and a bottle of wine with their girlfriends, to no-fuss, flavourful meals for the family and dishes with that added 'wow' factor for formal dinner party-goers.”
Woolworths Taste The Cookbook is available at selected Woolworths and Exclusive Books stores countrywide for R299.95 and is also available in Afrikaans as Woolworths Taste Die Kookboek.
