As her Curriculum vitae states quite clearly, though she was "born Evangelie Poggenpoel of humble Boer origins in the dusty Orange Free State town of Bethlehem on 28th September 1935" and just also happened to be illegitimate, she was also "pretty and ambitious, dreamt of Hollywood fame and fortune"... Oh, and she was also - make that is - "imaginative."

• news24.com: Probe into veteran cameraman's death... On a very sad note, the UK company which employed veteran cameraman Dudley Saunders, son of former political journalist Cliff Saunders, is investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

  A train hit Saunders in Soweto on Monday while he was filming the production World's Most Extreme for Arrow Media.
