Launch of tabloid supplement for SMMEs

The new tabloid supplement It's My Business and its website - to launch on 28 May 2006 in the Business Times - is a Johncom Learning initiative in association with the Bidvest Group that aims to provide essential knowledge to people running micro, very small and small enterprises employing 1 - 50 people.

It's My Business will provide tips and advice to entrepreneurs wanting to start their own businesses - people predominantly between the ages of 25 and 44 living in urban areas - as well as knowledge to new businesses about how to survive and run their enterprises more successfully.

The supplement will be edited by Peter Delmar, a senior Sunday Times journalist and former Business Day chief reporter who has worked in Europe and the Middle East.

In addition to a fortnightly supplement, www.itsmybusiness.co.za will provide news and links to useful resources. It will also host a B2B community where small business owners can register their businesses and source suppliers and service providers.

During the course of the year, Johncom Learning will offer ten courses of interest to the small business community. These will be available online and in digital and print format.
