Press invited to Bloemfontein FIFA/OC inspection
Following the FIFA and 2010 Local Organising Committee's current inspection tour to six of the FIFA World Cup venues, a media conference will be held on Friday, 22 February 2008, at the conclusion of the tour in Bloemfontein. Accreditation is not required.
Dennis Mumble, the OC's chief officer of competitions and head of the OC's delegation on the tour, and Ron DelMont, head of FIFA South Africa and of FIFA's tour delegation, will provide a report of the inspection tour at the press conference. Gertrude Mothupi, executive mayor of Mangaung and George Mohlakoana, 2010 coordinator for the Host City of Mangaung, will also address the media.
The press conference will take place at 1.30pm at Bram Fischer Building, Indaba, ground floor, corner Nelson Mandela and Markgraaf Streets in Bloemfontein.
Camera crews and photographers may accompany the delegation during each tour stop for the first 10 minutes of the stadium walkabouts with restricted access ( 22 February, Bloemfontein 10.30am – 1.30pm (stadium photo opportunity 10.30am – 10.40am)

On the tour the delegation visited Johannesburg's Ellis Park Stadium and Tshwane's Loftus Stadium on Monday 18 February and then proceeded to Rustenburg's Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Tuesday 19 February, Polokwane's Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday 20 February. The group continued its tour to Nelspruit's Mbombela Stadium on Thursday 21 February and concludes the tour at Mangaung's Free State Stadium on Friday.
The inspection tour delegation is composed of experts in competitions, marketing, IT, media, TV, accommodation, security, stadium construction and transportation from both FIFA and the OC.
