In keeping with April Fool's Day, TBWA\Hunt Lascaris teamed-up with Velocity Films to create an unusual TV advertisement for Kyocera Mita South Africa that launched on 1 April 2006.
Spiljevic and TBWA\Hunt Lascaris art director, Lapeace Kakaza, conceptualised and filmed the subtly humorous and skilfully filmed Kyocera Eskimo ad.
Says Petar Spiljevic, Velocity Films director, "The whole situation in our script is bizarre beyond laughter... Shooting such a surreal script was a rare opportunity to play with 'cold' uncomfortable and understated humour. The big visual inspiration was to capture the contrast of 'plastic' office reality meeting the 'organic' world of the Eskimos... Who can think of a better excuse for a report to be late!?"
