JWT has hired Conn Bertish, currently Creative Director of Saatchi and Saatchi Cape Town, as its new creative leader. Bertish will work with Raymond Kieser, Managing Director of JWT Cape Town.
The move re-unites Bertish with Craig Davis, JWT's Chief Creative Officer Worldwide, who was formerly a regional creative director for Saatchis.
Kieser says: "Conn understands the unique challenges of working in the Cape and he will be a great partner for me. His creative track record speaks for itself."
Bertish has scooped awards at D&AD, Cannes, One Show, the Clios and the local Loeries most notably for his work on Osram light bulbs, Guinness, Metropolitan Life, Musica and Amnesty International.
Bertish says: "JWT's recent repositioning has signalled a new momentum at the agency and I want to be part of it. I am definitely up for a new challenge. That's what gets me up in the morning."
