Gillette’s close shave scores

It was a close shave, but Gillette Mach3 Turbo took the honours for Best Ad in a reader-driven poll conducted by men's lifestyle title FHM.

Gillette were one of 11 prize winners at the magazine's annual Grooming Awards presented in Longmeadow, Fourways recently. Trophies were presented in 11 categories of male grooming including fragrance, haircare, skincare and shaving.

In the hotly contested fragrance categories, the Andre Agassi-fronted scent Aramis Life aced Best Fragrance whilst Polo Ralph Lauren Blue was judged  Best After Shave. In a category exclusively voted on by women, Emporio Armani Night was rated as the Sexiest Fragrance.

The haircare category was dominated by Schwarzkopf whose Bonacure Men range took the laurels for Best Hair Styling Product and Best Hair Care Product. Last year's big winner, ClarinsMen, again scooped the honours for Best Grooming Range.
