TBWA voted 'Network of the Year' by AdForum.com users

For the second time, an advertising award has been generated by the community at large, as opposed to a small committee of judges. Over 500,000 members of the worldwide advertising and marketing communities have voted for the top Networks and Agencies of the Year 2002 with their mouse clicks.

These votes recognize the value of the agency as measured by several criteria: Page views of the agency's profile, downloads of their creative work, votes they received through homepage exposure and contacts they received through AdForum.com (e-mails and clicks to their websites).
AdForum.com users have ranked the most popular and successful networks and agencies of 2002 among the 17,000 agencies listed in the database.

"Their traffic on AdForum.com is a validation of the quality of their agency's work," comments Philippe Guérinet, President. "Their reputation grows as their work is seen, recognized and rewarded by their peers and is likely to enhance their ability to attract new business and talented professionals to their agency."

With over 250,000 hits, TBWA was competing for the global title with Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB, Lowe, BBDO, Publicis and Leo Burnett. On the EMEA market, DDB was named Network of the Year, followed by BBDO, Publicis and Young & Rubicam. Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB, Lowe, BBDO, Publicis and Leo Burnett were the other brands most frequently nominated.

"Agency Hits Gold" were awarded to:

  • BBDO New York, DDB Chicago, Crispin Porter + Boguski (Miami) and TBWA\Chiat\Day (Los Angeles) in the USA
  • Lowe in the UK
  • Leagas Delaney in France
  • Springer & Jacoby in Germany
