DraftFCB Cape Town appoints AlterSage
AlterSage was appointed by DraftFCB Cape Town to amplify a social media campaign for Klipdrift's latest initiative, Realmencansing.com. The campaign was launched as Realmenthatcantsing.com and once Klipdrift was revealed as the brand behind the campaign, the name and direction of the campaign changed.
During Phase One, the South African public was invited to upload their karaoke-style or candid-singing music videos to the site and to invite their friends to vote for them. AlterSage boosted the social media strategy for the first phase that complimented DraftFCB's offline efforts comprising billboards and direct activations to create awareness for the campaign. The social media campaign encouraged interaction and voting.
During the second phase of the campaign Klipdrift was revealed as the brand behind the ingenious campaign and the website was renamed Realmencansing.com and branded with Klipdrift's logo. Through AlterSage's combined search marketing and social media campaign registrations on the website and the upload of videos increased significantly over a four week period.
