Three wins in four months for King James Johannesburg

King James Johannesburg has started the year off on a winning note, securing three new accounts in the first four months of 2005. The new accounts are Singapore Airlines, Global Trader and SARS Integrated Communications and Projects, together bringing in new business worth over R10 million.

Charles Matterson, MD of King James Johannesburg, said he was particularly pleased with the wins as in all three pitches King James had been up against several large agencies and industry heavy-weights.

"Singapore Airlines was an eight-way pitch, while for Global Trader, which is an online trading company, there were three other agencies bidding.

"In the case of Singapore Airlines and Global Trader, which are both international brands, it was also very motivating that the clients chose an independent agency not affiliated to an international network to handle their work in South Africa. For Global Trader, we will in fact be creating work to be used internationally as well as in South Africa, which is a feather in our caps."

For SARS, King James Johannesburg has been appointed an Agency of Record for Integrated Communications and Projects.
