The Johannesburg office of Manley Communications is dancing to a new beat with the announcement of their selection to represent award winning drummer, producer, vocalist, composer, arranger and music industry entrepreneur, Michael Canfield and his new band "Rhythm Section Africa".
Manley's dynamic Johannesburg duo of Senior Account Manager, Catherine Bolton and Account Executive, Olivia Lawrence are shaking their "groove thing" with the launch of Michael Canfield & Rhythm Section Africa's recent DVD production 'prE-"vyü which offers Canfield's worldwide fans a sneak peak at some of the material included in the much anticipated "Authenticity" album, scheduled for release in time for Christmas 2006. "Authenticity" will feature original music inspired by Canfield's experiences in Africa alongside pieces that are a part of his long professional career and interesting interpretations of the music of others.
American born, Canfield's professional credits include productions, recordings, performances and/or co-bills with internationally acclaimed stars such as James Brown, Dione Warwick, Ben E. King, Della Reese, The Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Idol, Cyndi Lauper and Sammy Davis Jr. as well being honoured with several Grammy nominations a "New York Rock/Pop Entertainer of the Year" award and a "New York Music Award" nomination.
