Exhibitions Manager

A major, sought-after shopping destination in the Vaal is looking for an exceptional Exhibitions Manager.

We're an award-winning strategic marketing agency specialising in shopping centres and retail brands, and we're searching for an energetic, commercially minded Exhibitions Manager to drive exhibition, promotional and activation opportunities within one of the Vaal's leading retail destinations.

The successful candidate will represent our agency on-site and will be responsible for managing the centre's exhibitions programme from start to finish. This includes securing exhibitors, pop-up stores and promotional activations, maximising exhibition revenue, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring every activation enhances the shopper experience while meeting the centre's commercial objectives.

You'll work closely with retailers, exhibitors, suppliers and centre management to ensure every exhibition space is professionally managed and fully optimised.

What you'll need:

• Marketing, Business, Sales, Events or related qualification (Diploma/Degree advantageous)
• Proven experience in exhibitions, retail leasing, events, sponsorship sales or business development
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Excellent relationship-building and networking ability
• Commercially driven with the ability to identify new revenue opportunities
• Exceptional organisational and administration skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Willingness to work weekends when required for exhibitions, activations and centre events
• Must reside in the Vaal area or surrounding areas
• Own reliable transport is essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Market and lease exhibition and promotional spaces within the shopping centre.
• Source and secure new exhibitors, brands and promotional partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective exhibitors.
• Manage contracts, bookings, invoicing and exhibition administration.
• Coordinate exhibition logistics and ensure activations are executed to a high standard.
• Work closely with the marketing team to align exhibitions with centre campaigns and events.
• Monitor exhibition performance and identify opportunities to grow revenue.
• Ensure all exhibitors comply with centre rules, health and safety requirements and operational procedures.
