Qualifications and skills
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12.
• Technical qualification will be advantageous.
• At least 3 years related experience
• Oral and written communication in English
• Interpersonal skills.
• A valid, unendorsed Code 10 license with pdp
• Road maintenance knowledge.
• Physically fit to move objects.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure traffic flow and protect employees and motorists during roadworks.
• Repaint worn road marking – lines, letters, and symbols using water or solvent-based paints, applied by hand or machine.
• Install reflective glass beads in the painted lines.
• Remove damaged studs, repair new road studs. and install new road studs.
• Ensure site clearing and carting to dump all debris.
• Trim trees, repair signs, and dig for road fixtures.
• Conduct stock taking as and when required.
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
• Oversee and facilitate the training and development of employees.
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
• Work safely at all times in accordance with the OHS Act.
