The transformation management and change management programme at Pretoria West Hospital was conducted over a period of 18 months. A holistic approach was used to develop consensus decision making regarding the key areas that should be targeted in terms of the transformation initiative, eg, Service Delivery, Productivity, Inter-sectoral Collaboration and customer Service & Support, Value for Money, etc. The unions were engaged and co-opted onto the implementation team in order to obtain buy in from all sectors of the employee base. Targets, Implementation methodologies and strategies were developed and consensus was arrived at subsequent to extensive consultation with all roleplayers. Lateral thinking was encouraged, information sharing was emphasized in order to address employees' reservations and hence the issue of attitudinal transformation was addressed.

? Demonstrated HR Capability in diverse spheres across the organization to precipitate intersectoral synergy.

? Developed a logo for a T shirt campaign promoting the fundamental message of the transformation project at Pretoria West Hospital.
? Facilitated the distribution and dissemination of pamphlets pertaining to the transformation project. Also assisted with the launching of a media campaign regarding the transformation project and oversaw the launching of an institutional radio station at George Mukhari Hospital.
? Deconstruct silos, identify & mitigate HR risks.
? The incumbent is skilled at detecting and eliminating polarization that may impede optimal organizational functionality & hence any transformation initiatives that may be contemplated.
