Annika Sorenstam joins Golf Digest's exclusive playing editors
Already blessed by such high-powered names as Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Jack Nicklaus and Phil Mickelson, Golf Digest has made a notable addition to its staff of playing editors. Annika Sorenstam, who recently won her third US Women's Open, joins Golf Digest as the missing link in a male dominated sport.
Annika was discovered at the age of 15 by teaching professional Henri Reis while playing at a golf camp run by the Swedish Golf Federation. She has taken women's golf to a new level and her drive and passion for the game are evident in her desire to be the best.
Annika's debut "Swing Sequence" appears in the August issue of Golf Digest on newsstands from 24 July (R29.95). Annika will write instruction articles exclusively for Golf Digest publications and readers can expect monthly tips that will benefit all golfers.
Golf Digest editor Stuart McLean says that "The best and brightest teachers and players in golf write exclusively for Golf Digest, but the missing link was the pre-eminent woman golfer of all time. Annika is different. She rebuilt her body, mind and game to become a champion, and that is what she will share with readers."
