Fairlady appoints new Business Manager
Fairlady Magazine has appointed Melanie Fortuin-Durr as Assistant Editor: Business Management.
The role involves the general operational management of the Fairlady editorial team including developing and managing the editorial budgets and being involved in the strategic direction of the magazine in conjunction with the editor and publisher.
Melanie held the position of Brand and Marketing Manager at Kfm since 2001 and was previously Kfm's Promotions Manager.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Cape Town and completed a six-month Senior Management programme at the University of Stellenbosch in 1999 as well as an Applied Journalism course.
Melanie took up her new role from 1 March and will be based in the PICA Award-winning magazine's offices in Cape Town.
