Sewlal replaces Molefe as Vodacom Journalist of the Year convenor

Advocate Robin Sewlal, a long-serving member of the panel of judges, has been appointed convenor of the Vodacom Journalist of the Year Award, the organisers announced yesterday, Thursday, 21 May 2009. He replaces Phil Molefe, who was recently appointed SABC acting head of news and thus offered to hand over the role of convener to retain the competition's reputation for fairness in its judging process. Molefe has now been named patron of the awards.
