Social media recruitment attracts candidates though pictorial ads
Indayi Communications, a below-the-line marketing, advertising and branding agency in Johannesburg, recently used social media to recruit a person for a receptionist/admin position. Three bright and colourful adverts detailing the key qualities required by prospective candidates as well as the details of when, where and how to apply on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter were used as the recruitment tool. Short-listed candidates spent the day at the agency, absorbing the culture, before having a final interview. The agency selected Simlindele Shabane for the position.
