The European Union's highest court in Luxembourg has backed tough health warnings for tobacco products, including a ban on the terms "light" and "mild" on packaging in EU-affiliated countries. The court said that the law demanding health warnings over 30% of the front of cigarette packs and 40% of the back was not excessive. The court however dismissed the bid to apply EU standards to export products.
