Outdoor Makes Inroads on National Highways
MediaBytes reports that Primedia Outdoor has been awarded one of the first approvals for the legal erection of billboards along national roads. The approval was granted for the erection of a 4.5m x 18m billboard on the N1 South after the Hans Strydom off-ramp.
The regional manager for the SA National Roads Agency, Basie Notnagel, says that "the opening of proclaimed national roads within the limits of the regulations represents a major opportunity to outdoor advertisers, and is sure to stimulate the next wave of growth in the industry."
