Bumper year for cinema

CineMARK has reported a 2.1% increase in cinema attendance over the 12 month period of February 2003 to January 2004. More than 2.5 million South Africans went to the movies in January 2004 alone. According to attendance figures, the top 5 cinema sites in January 2004 were: Gateway in Durban; Menlyn Park in Pretoria; Canal Walk in Cape Town; Pavilion in Durban and Tygervalley in Durbanville.
