Group-buying giant Groupon South Africa has partnered with the Reach For A Dream Foundation to offer a special deal that will enable children suffering from life-threatening diseases to have their dreams come true in time for Christmas. The deal, which ran from Friday 12 November through the weekend, was offered as part of Groupon SA's new G-Team initiative and was the first of a number of planned charitable campaigns. G-Team is a branch of Groupon that uses Groupon's popularity and accessibility to raise funds for charities and not-for-profit organisations all over South Africa. Groupon SA subscribers were asked to make donations of R80. For every 20 donations, one dream was able to be funded. 100% of all proceeds raised through G-Team goes directly to the benefit of these charities. To apply for a G-Team initiative, follow the link.
