Promoting tourism and investment in Soweto
Co-ordinated by the Cape Wine Academy, the second annual Soweto Wine and Brandy Festival kicks off on Friday, 1 September 2006, and ends Sunday, 3 September. The aim is to promote Soweto as a new tourism initiative in order to attract investment, and to introduce the black market to new wines and wineries, the art of wine tasting and brandy drinking.
