Saatchi boss resigns

Mpho Makwana has resigned as CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi, and will be leaving at the end of June. Although he hasn't announced his future plans, he said his resignation was motivated by his dedication to helping transform the economy. In a statement he said, "In an advertising agency environment one's ability to make a difference at a macro-level is limited." Makwana, a former chairman of the AAA, was promoted from MD of the Johannesburg branch to CEO in July last year.
