Harley-Davidson at Cape Town's Southern Ink Xposure
The impressive week long convention (Monday 19 - Sunday 24 January 2010) was held at the Cape Town Convention Centre, and provided an arena where the public could be exposed to some of the finest tattoo artists in the world.
SixLove Events has been involved in the local and global tattoo culture for well over a decade and created The Southern Ink Xposure after recognising the need for a professional, internationally recognised tattoo lifestyles event within Southern Africa. Cape Town in particular, is widely regarded as a unique, exciting and value-for-money destination for those seeking to collect unique, professional tattoo art and was therefore the perfect location for the event.
A number of the latest 2010 and Dark Custom Harley-Davidson models were on show at the Southern Ink Xposure this year for all visitors to admire. Dealership staff were on hand to answer queries on the Harley-Davidson motorcycles and lifestyle. The Dark Custom range is for edgy, young individualists that embrace the darker side of the Harley-Davidson brand.
Each day of the convention hosted a fresh, new event including the two art exhibitions: ‘Body of Work' and ‘Hearts'. Two gigs took place on the weekend with Lady Luck on the Friday night at Mercury Live, including bands The Great Apes, Jack Parow, The Ragdolls, and Throatball, and Man's Ruin on the Saturday night at The Assembly including the bands Damn Right, The Mochines, Tornados, and The Rudimentals.
