The second annual Beauty Revolution Festival took place at the Sandton Convention Centre from Friday, 13 March to Saturday, 14 March. The festival attracted some of South Africa's top influencers, media and content creators and provided guests with an opportunity to shop some of the world's biggest brands in beauty, lifestyle and personal care.

Global network for women in advertising and creative industries, SheSays, held its first Cape Town event of 2020 on 10 March. SheSays Cape Town co-director Anelde Greeff moderated the panel, which included head of marketing and communications at Zeitz Mocaa Annicia Manyaapelo, CEO of RushTush Rushda Moosajee and media consultant and author Vanessa Raphaely. The panellists shared ideas and stories on reinvention, handling failure, and staying motivated, creative and innovative.

Members of the Entrepreneurs' Organisation (EO) and their friends and families took part in a special spekboom tree planting ceremony at the site of the Great Labyrinth near Klapmuts on 7 March. Proceedings began with a word from premier Alan Winde. President of EO Cape Town, Waheed Adam, says: "It is our responsibility as business leaders and good citizens to be mindful of our carbon footprint. As an organisation, we've embarked on a campaign to raise awareness about climate change and inspire local entrepreneurs, business leaders and citizens to help reduce our nation's carbon emissions."...

Chappies has a new limited-edition flavour called Chappies Cola. A launch event was held to celebrate the new flavour. Chappies SA commissioned Josias Mpyana, also known as The Chappies Artist, to create an art piece that expresses the joy he gets from blowing bubbles of Chappies Cola. The new flavour is available at select wholesalers, taxi ranks and spaza shops nationwide.

The KwaZulu-Natal provincial government, in partnership with Mastercard, hosted the Forbes Woman Africa Leading Women Summit at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli ICC Complex in Durban on Friday, 6 March 2020. South African designers shined at the #REDExperiment 2.0 awards ceremony hosted by the Radisson RED Hotel V&A Waterfront, Cape Town last week. The design competition started accepting entries from early February and entrants were given a chance to design the hotel's new staff uniform - a T-shirt, a cap and a long-sleeve jacket. The winning designers for each of the three categories were awarded R10,000 and their designs will go into production this month....

The 2020 edition of the Design Indaba took place at the Artscape Theatre Centre in Cape Town from 26 to 28 February 2020. Thousands of creatives, emerging creatives, design experts, speakers and delegates gathered to inspire and empower each other to create a better future through design and creativity.
