So what happens to the Loeries next year?
The company that runs the Loeries is purportedly bankrupt despite the endless entry fees submitted by our agencies.
Does this spell the end for Loeries?
International awards are great, but it's a bit worrying that our own local awards company is slap-bang in the dwang. The Loeries are legendary in SA's ad history and it would be sad to see the little bird consigned to the scrap heap.
I hope this doesn't mean we lose sight of winning a local award and become too Eurocentric in our quest for international awards.
