Second international Halaal conference for Africa

The Indian government has chosen Africa's Big Seven (AB7), an annual event staged in Johannesburg at Gallagher Estate, as its chosen portal into Africa, becoming a partner nation to the AB7 2007 show. SANHA has endorsed the initiative to promote ‘The Halaal World' concept on Monday, 16 July 2007, 8am – 5pm in the Grill Room.

Issues under discussion shall include Halaal certification programmes, import regulations, benefits of Halaal certification and challenges facing the Halaal world. The core focus of the conference is ‘Halaal – Opportunities Beyond Boundaries'. The conference is tailored for the industry, professionals, academicians, students, government agencies, importers and exporters.

This expo's name is based on its seven constituent elements. Fresh and processed foods are displayed for export. Specialty foods and beverages are marketed, not only Africa's but the globe's importers, exporters, wholesalers and retailers. Manufacturing, processing and packaging technologies are traded internationally.

World renowned experts from the Halaal regulatory field and food industry will deliver papers at the conference. Some of the invited speakers are:
