MTNLoaded sets new records
Barely two weeks after its launch, MTN's new lifestyle portal MTNLoaded, has met with immediate and phenomenal success. Whilst GPRS has been available to MTN contract users since 2002, for the first time in South Africa, using their WAP enabled handsets, prepaid users and contract users are now able to surf the web free, for a period of three months.
From 11 - 21 July the total number of unique WAP users was just over 300 000. Santie Botha, group executive director at MTN says, "MTN is thrilled at the overwhelming response and interest from our customers in MTNLoaded. A free prepaid GPRS offering is something that South African users have always wanted, and MTN is delighted to offer this service first to our customers."
MTNLoaded has the widest range of mobile content and services in South Africa. The Music category alone contains news, reviews and videos, daily alerts for gigs in Jo'burg, Cape Town and Durban, the latest music chart hits, and a massive collection of wallpapers and logos of over 300 South African and International artists with more than 1000 ringtones of songs - from the 1960s to tracks not yet released.
To experience MTNLoaded now, go to www.mtn.co.za (web and WAP) or dial 083 123 MTN (686).
