On the creative edge of wrapping
Grey Worldwide SA has found the creative edge for Visa, quite literally on the corner of the busy Beyers Naude intersection. "We found out the site was for a new designer clothing shopping mecca called World Wear," says creative director Dawn Franke, "and this triggered an opportunity for Visa to entrench its positioning as an everyday payment partner.
A massive 40m Visa billboard has been wrapped around the building site. "The horizontal format of the site reminded us of a giant closet so hence the design showing a closet filled with clothes from different eras to drive home the fact that Visa really is an everyday payment partner that never goes out of fashion," explains Franke.
Grey's team included Franke, Wendy Bakewell (creative director), Lennox Nhando (copywriter) and Jo Theron (designer).
